How is the leather effected by light?
Untreated leather changes its colour when it is continously exposed to sun light. This is a natural process that is dependend on the intensity and exposure of the light and the characteristics of the colour.
The lightfastness of our bio-certified leather is checked by the manufacturer by exposing the leather to a defined amount of light for a defined time. The leather with the highest change receives the value 1 – while no change would be the value 6. Normally, untreated leather for furniture should at least achieve the value of 3. The leather that we use has a very good value of 5.
